This event, sponsored by Albemarle Charlottesville Historical Society, Lighthouse Studios, Virginia Humanities and Preservation Piedmont is part of the Unity Days celebration in the City of Charlottesville.


About Unity Days:  Unity Days is (are) a series of city-sponsored and community-driven events and programs that educate, inspire, and honor people in our community to move towards economic and racial justice. 


Drewery Brown (1918-1998), a community organizer for civil rights and equal opportunity, and a founder of Monticello Area Community Action Agency was a beloved member of the Charlottesville Community.


The event will also launch a new book, Charlottesville Bridge Builders 2001-2016
